Uniphar Logistics Earns NABP Drug Distributor Accreditation

Garner, North Carolina — Uniphar Logistics has earned Drug Distributor Accreditation from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®).

Opening their doors in Q2 2023, Uniphar Logistics is a third-party logistics facility designed to support the Medical Device and Life Science Industries starting with 65,000 square feet of temperature-controlled, ISO 13485 certified space. The location is just outside Raleigh North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park (RTP) which is home to more than 500 Pharma, Biotech, and medical device manufacturers.

NABP’s Drug Distributor Accreditation is a resource for industry and regulatory bodies that establish uniform safeguards meant to protect the public health. Drug Distributor Accreditation plays a pivotal role in preventing counterfeit drugs from entering the United States drug supply and protects the public from drugs that have been contaminated, diverted, or counterfeited. This accreditation process required Uniphar Logistics to demonstrate compliance to a comprehensive set of regulatory standards and best practices in safely distributing prescription drugs from manufacturers to pharmacies and other institutions.

A big thank you to Mickelle Owens and Angela Humrich for their hard work and focus in helping us achieve NABP accreditation. Your dedication to maintaining high standards and building a strong, reliable team onsite in North Carolina did not go unnoticed. We appreciate your efforts in making sure everything was in place to meet the requirements and set us up for continued success.”

“NABP congratulates Uniphar Logistics on achieving this important recognition,” says NABP Executive Director/Secretary Lemrey “Al” Carter, PharmD, MS, RPh. “By earning the Drug Distributor Accreditation, they demonstrate their commitment to preventing counterfeit drugs from entering the US drug supply, and they hold a pivotal role in protecting the public health.”
